Would like to know if i can enable subtitles for all containers on my Sony KDL-32NX650. Yeah this is a new model but same as the EX version. I read the posts and all but i want it enabled somehow. This will make me buy WD Mybook live and install serviio on it. Will make my life better.I tried to add <SubtitlesMimeType>text/srt</SubtitlesMimeType> in the Sony profile but it seems there is much more to it. You cannot believe my Sony TV does not support mkv and also subtitles on USB. Serviio does not support subtitles on streaming. I cannot watch any movie with subtitles. I am actually gone down on this. Much of my home network depends on this.

USB and DLNA device firmware are different.

Sony devices does not support external srt subtitle.

Some BDP player support mkv sub track and avi/subx but not TV devices.

P.S. That's why I do not use Serviio, although I would have liked
