help with Sony Bravia KDL-37EX403 and Samsung RF710

I have:
Sony Bravia KDL-37EX403 TV,
Samsung RF710 laptop,
netgear router n300 DGN2200.
with ether wireless (would like to use this) or Ethernet (if needed)
Serviio 1.1 (installed on the laptop)
But I can not get the above working the TV is using wireless (Sony USB) and is using the inter net fine as we can use BBC Iplayer on the TV but when i go to network settings on the TV and look at server list my laptop is not showing up and when I go to diagnostic test it shows my laptop but with no mac code for the laptop showing.
does anyone know how I can fix this?
