Hi.

I tried to play an mkv the other day on my Bravia (2011 Profile). I think it worked on Serviio 1.0.

Now on 1.1 (Linux) it plays, but the aspect ratio looks weired ( 50% of the screen height) and on the right side I see colored bricks.
Sound is OK.

Any hint is appreciated.

colored bricks ?? could you explain?

Could you also check that you use an updated ffmpeg : http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=build_ffmpeg_linux

What is your region, US, UK ?
What is the profile selected on serviio console ?

its non-us and sony 2011
i use ffmpeg git, roughly 3 weeks old

Oh I see, the h264 video stream is remuxed and delivered in native to the Sony device, but as you cann see the original DAR is not compliant :
1920x1088 => The compliant is 1920x1080

How do i force transcoding to 1920*1080 ?

If the dar is not compliant with the chosen profile, Serviio shouldn't deliver the native format!? Bug??
There seems to be a hole in the rule set.

You can add comment on it.
You can also create a custom profile to transcode h264 video that you'll manually select on serviio console for files not compliant.
