[SOLVED] Missing files?

Got Serviio 1.2 installed and it recognizes my Sony DVD player fine. I go to shared folders, add local and drop in the file with the movies and tv shows that I want to see on my tv via DVD player. All checked marked. My DVD player sees Serviio in the video options ok. I go to folders and media (the name of the folder) on the DVD and see some of the shows (blank folders) but says there is no playable file. Same with opening series. Says no playable files. What am I missing?
Thanks, Mike

not sure what you mean. Thought I was reasonably computer savy, but not with this.
I've tried streaming with both Windows Media and VLC

This model was DLNA certified on 2010.

Could you open Serviio console, on status tab, look at renderer profile, you should see your Sony device with a 2012 profile selected ("Sony BDP-Sx90 (2012)").
Change the profile to "Sony BDP-Sx70 (2010)" and save.

I did what you said and most of the movies showed up as playable, but not some of the TV series I have. Found someone else here that had similar issue and they switched to Sony Bravia TV (2012) - US.
This worked perfectly as every movie and TV series was there to play.
Now this morning I go to watch one of the TV series and almost all of them are gone although the folders are still there (says no playable file)
Stumped again

Give your TV a static IP address on your router to keep the selected profile assigned to the device over time.

the tv is not on the internet, only the sony bdp-bx37. Not sue how to find the IP

I set router to static IP, no change

Don't understand why half my files that would play yesterday all of a sudden won't

because the TV probably changed IP address and defaulted to a different profile than what you chose yesterday.

The TV is not hooked up to the internet. The Bluray is. The IP for it didn't change.
Why would some content show and not others. I'd think it would either work or not for everything.
Would uninstalling and reinstall be of any benefit in your opinion. Don't know what else to try.
Thanks for your help, Mike
