When audio is played from folders --> show song title

Hi there!

After using Serviio for some days, I have a question about the way the metadata is displayed on my sony bravia EX500 TV. Usually I navigate to the "music"-section and then I choose the available songs via the "Folders"-section. What happens, is that the filename of the mp3 will be displayed in play-modus instead of the song title. Is this the normal behaviour and/or could that be changed? I expected (and wanted) the song title to show up, just like it does when I select a song via the "Artists", "Album artists" etc. etc. section. Only playing songs via the "Folders"-section results in this behaviour. A bit unfortunate, because I like this way of navigating the most: I have sorted out my MP3 files quite well :).

Regards

It's expected. The Folders category sholws files as they are in the folders, no metadata attached.

Ok, but when I play a song, it does (when I'm in folder-mode) show metadata, it shows the album and artist below the line where the song title should be. That first line is now the filename. It still sounds strange to me, because the other metadata is extracted very well.

yes, metadata is sent to the player, it's just the title is the file name when you browse, for people who prefer their naming to metadata
