Pause and resume

I've been using serviio recently and have been really impressed.
One thing however is frustrating me. Whenever I pause a movie for more than about 10 seconds when I resume play it will continue for a few seconds then freeze. This is especially annoying as the point in the movie is now lost and I must fast forward back to it. Which is a very slow process.
This is when streaming to a LG bluray player. What could cause this? Is it problem with the player or serviio?
