LG BX580 seek problem

Hello,

I am a new user of serviio and I love it, but I have a problem.
For some of my mkv's, the seeking doesn't work on my LG BX580.

The weird part is that, if I play the files on LG player through samba, I can seek without problems (on the same files),
and if I play the files on my laptop (with Totem with Coherence DLNA Client) also, the seeking works.

This is without transcoding.

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks.

Could you confirm that on Serviio and on Totem this mkv are not transcoded but delivered in native format?
For serviio you could enable detailed logging (see signature) and check if this file is delivered in native format. For totem I don't know.
You could also provide information about this mkv file (see signature links too).

What is the LG player through samba?

It seems that seeking is not supported over DLNA for mkv container with LG renderer. (supported by your Totem renderer)

The BX580 supports CIFS, so I can play files over network using a windows share or samba server.

Not true. Seeking works for most of my mkv's over DLNA and for all my mkv's over samba.

I know, if it works over samba, I can just use samba.
But serviio has some advantages over a simple file system sharing.

Re: LG BX580 seek problem

The requests are there, partial content delivered. If it's not working it's down to the player.
