LG OLED B9

Hello,

I have a LG OLED65B9PUA. On Serviio 2.0 I was able to play UHD HDR 4k Dolby Atmos movies (15gb-30gb files). Since I updated to version 2.1 it says "file couldn't be recognized". These are files I played before on this TV. I tried downgrading to version 2.0, but I get the same error. How can I troubleshoot this error? What else can I do? I read about the LG TVs having a 100MB ethernet connection, but I didn't have a problem before. I ordered the Cable Matters SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapters mentioned on other post here just to try it anyway. I tried playing the movies over wifi and I get the same error.

Re: LG OLED B9

I'm not aware of any TV that can play TrueHD with Atmos. They can stream the lossy DD+/Atmos that online providers use, but not what is on a ripped UHD movie. For that, I use an Nvidia Shield as my player on both of my Samsung UHD TVs. I can't explain why it was working before, but perhaps Serviio was sending more than one audio track and your TV was choosing a standard DD track instead.

Re: LG OLED B9

Figured it out! My Mac mini running serviio is in a different room from my LG TV. I have Amplifi Alien routers connected wirelessly. I updated the firmware on the routers and they connected on the 2.4Ghz Wifi 6 instead of 5Ghz wifi 6 band. Fixed that and I can play the movies again. And I meant to say Dolby Vision, not Atmos.
