Hello everyone. Trying to get up to speed with Serviio as fast as possible. I thought I would start by lodging the details of a DMR that hasn't (as yet) appeared on the forum (as far as search can reveal!). It's the LG Smart TV Upgrader ST600. It's DLNA sink capabilities are reported as follows:

LG Devices dont like transcoded content so everything has to be sent in a native format that the TV like and that is very limited. try the already avauilible LG profile as that is the best you can get for LG devices.

It's not true, the LG TV/BDP can play almost everything natively, the only problem being DTS audio. This device looks different anyway.

Is there any file you cannot play with the LG or Generic profile?

Petr,

Yes, actually I am having issues with WMAPro VBR files. The box can't swallow them natively either, so it's not a Serviio DLNA issue, but, like many people, asI have a large number of WMA files on my Home Server, _some_ of which may be WMAPro, it would be nice if I knew how to ask Serviio to transcode them to plain old WMA or even MP3, as it's not easy to find those needles in the haystack.

I did try the LG profile, but, as I think you might expect given what I say above, it didn't help. Otherwise the box is surprisingly good, actually.

Thanks for asking. Any advice you can offer gratefully received.

Colin

WMAPro is not supported audio format yet, there is an open ticket to support this and other (lossless) formats

OK Petr, thank you. I shall be patient. At the moment, I can reconvert these to WMA, which do play natively.

Thank you again.
