Serviio

Hi ,

I've only recently switched to Serviio from the much inferior WMP server. I've loaded approx 300 folders into the Serviio console . To begin with i believe my LG was able to see and play the contents of all of them , but now in Movies/Folders only the last 200 loaded folders show up. The first 100 have disappeared.

I also have a Sony BDP , and all 300 folders show up there , so i presume the problem lies somewhere with the LG TV. Does it have a 200 folder limit ? Or is there some other problem i can fix.

I much prefer to play files through the TV as the picture quality is better and the remote easier to use.

Can you see all the files in other that the Folders category?

Yes , i've just tried the Titles category , and files are showing up there although their parent folder doesn't show up.

so it might be limitation of the TV. Can you install Intel tools (see my signature), run AV Media Controller and browse Serviio there if it's got all the folders?

OK , i'll try that , though i'm not much of a techie.

As i said , all the folders do show up on the Sony BDP , so the problem must be LG related.

ah ok, so in that case don't waste your time... MIght be TV restriction... maybe other LG user can comment

Well , i ran that programme , all the missing files were displayed , but not the last 120 or so which do appear on the LG.


I'll check the LG user manual to see if anything comes up there.

Is there any other use for the tools i downloaded ?

►Up to 200 folders in one folder and 1000 including folders and files can be recognized.

Sorry to have wasted your time , though hopefully this may help somebody else with the same problem.
