Hello everyone
relative newbie and Im having trouble watching any mkv's that are DTS encoded.
I've tried checking downmix to stero but i still get 'unsupported audio format' message on my tv.
Im using LG TV/Player profile.
Thanks

Make sure you have the latest firmware. If yes try adding this to the LG profile:
- Code:
<Transcoding>
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3">
<Matches container="matroska" aCodec="dca" />
</Video>
</Transcoding>

- Code:
<Profile id="8" name="LG TV / player" extendsProfileId="1">
<Detection>
<HttpHeaders>
<friendlyName.dlna.org>LG.*</friendlyName.dlna.org>
</HttpHeaders>
</Detection>
<MediaFormatProfiles>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mp4" name="">AVI</MediaFormatProfile>
</MediaFormatProfiles>
<SubtitlesMimeType>text/srt</SubtitlesMimeType>
<!--
Transcoding doesn't seem to work and some files can be played natively:
http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3914#p26273
<Transcoding>
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="mp3">
<Matches container="matroska" aCodec="ac3" />
<Transcoding>
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3">
<Matches container="matroska" aCodec="dca" />
</Video>

Added to LG Profile like so:
- Code:
<Profile id="8" name="LG TV / player" extendsProfileId="1">
<Detection>
<HttpHeaders>
<friendlyName.dlna.org>LG.*</friendlyName.dlna.org>
</HttpHeaders>
</Detection>
<MediaFormatProfiles>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mp4" name="">AVI</MediaFormatProfile>
</MediaFormatProfiles>
<SubtitlesMimeType>text/srt</SubtitlesMimeType>
<!--
Transcoding doesn't seem to work and some files can be played natively:
http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3914#p26273
<Transcoding>
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="mp3">
<Matches container="matroska" aCodec="ac3" />
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3">
<Matches container="matroska" aCodec="dca" />
</Video>
</Transcoding> -->
</Profile>
Still no joy with DTS .mkvs can play video but no sound.
Help!

LG in most cases screwes up when playing transcoded files via Serviio, that's why I removed the transcoding config from the profile. It seems some can play it but most won't. Not sure about models or firmwares. Your best bet now is to transcode audio manually to ac3 and play it then with the original profile.

This worked perfectly for the 47CM565 I bought on Saturday. I just completely replaced the LG profile with this, saved, restarted service, and saved the profile in console.
