Is there a difference between the Windows & Linux profiles?

I'm having terrible problems with my LG TV (LG 43UK6400PLF) using Linux Mint. I get video files that stop halfway through, no fast forward, and no resume function. If I boot back into Windows the same files seem to play better, resume and rewind/fast forward (albeit they only fast forward at x4 which is painfully slow) I really regret buying this TV but I'm stuck with it.

There is huge criticism of LG online for slow guides, Smart functions and DLNA implementation but, if that was the issue, surely it would affect Serviio in Windows and Linux.

The profiles themselves I'm certain are identical across platforms. In theory, because the system runs in Java it internals should also be close to the same, but only Zip can really say if there are differences. I keep a Mint box running just for playing around and haven't seen anything specific that causes any problems, but I will also admit I've never just sat and watched something through it. My operational and test Serviio boxes are both on Windows 10.

Thanks for the reply. I must admit I've given up for the time being. I've resorted to an external USB drive but it's a rubbish solution.
