I have an LG HX806SG which works nicely with Serviio, however recently I have noticed that when I play an MKV file it no longer calculates/displays the length of the video.

According to the documentation the player supports the following :-

Code:: Extension :- “.avi”, “.divx”, “.mpg”, “.mpeg”, “.mkv”, “.mp4”, DIVX3.xx, DIVX4.xx, Video Codec :- DIVX5.xx, DIVX6.xx (Standard playback only), XVID, MPEG1 SS, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, MPEG2 PS, MPEG2 TS Audio Codec :- Dolby Digital, DTS, MP3, WMA, AAC, AC3

So I have copied one of the MKVs that I am having issues with to a USB and played directly on the player and it is showing the MKV video length.

Looking at the serviio log it appears to be using the Playstation 3 profile?? I'm sure it used to use the Generic Profile??

Of course I could always assign my player a static IP address on my router and then ensure that it is given the correct profile in Serviio console (LG TV).

Seems to work fine...
