Panasonic Viera VT30B WebM MKV Transcoding
Hello there,
Serviio has been very useful so far, but I've just encountered an MKV file that gives 'File type not supported' unless I manually remux it to m2ts.
The source file has Codec ID of "V_MPEG2" in Media Player Home Cinema and "MPEG-1/2 Video (mpgv)" in VLC. It appears to be the WebM subset of Matroska container.
I'm using the Panasonic Viera profile, but adding <MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mpeg">V_MPEG2</MediaFormatProfile> to the Transcoding element causes the service to fail to load, and <Matches container="matroska" vCodec="mpgv" /> in the unsupported codecs targeting mpegts also fails to be accepted.
My TX-P42VT30B supports for playback and streaming:
MKV (*.mkv)
Video: H.264 BP / MP / HP
Audio: MPEG, MP3, Dolby Digital, DTS Core
FFMPEG says:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Serviio\lib>ffmpeg -I "C:\Users\Public\Videos\3D Demo\Girls' Generation - Genie.mkv"

Stream #0.1(kor): Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, s16, 320 kb/s (default)
Is there a way I can configure Serviio to try forwarding this type of video as MPEG2 or transcoding it to mpeg2ts?
