Issues on Windows 8

Hi,

Im Michal, a new member here, residing currently in Poland. Last year i bought Panasonic Viera Plasma TV 42' from ST series. I connected that TV to Serviio on Windows 7 64 bits and everything worked fine. Recently i had to get rid of Win7 and go into Win8 64-bits at home, so i did it, and installed Serviio on the new operating system. The DLNA server is visible now on my TV, i can browse resources and even play it, but the issue is that i can play only a part of each file. I usually use MKV's on 1080p so the files are huge, almost or over 10GB each, but it was not a problem on Win7. On Win8, while playing, after about 20 minutes the playback stops, TV says 'searching' and then 'cannot play the file'. The communication with Serviio stops working and i have to reload connection and play the file again. First of all i assumed it can be an issue with WiFi which i use for those connections (im using 150Mbit USB dongle adapter from TPLink which is really stable on Win7 and also on Win8 for any other services). But i didnt see any lost connections between TPLink and my Thomson cable router so far. The second thing was to check if there are some hibernation options enabled, i disabled any of them and checked again - unfortunately it didnt change anything. So im really confused whats going on with Win8. Any experiences of such kind anyone?

thanks in advance,
Michal
