Serviio

Hi guys!

I`m not all into this decoding stuff, but I`m having trouble playing alot of files on my TV: TX-P55VT50Y
I can confirm that the problems are with *.mp4 files, I also have trouble with subtitles on my *.mkv files.

The problem with the *.mp4 files has occured after latest patch\update from panasonic, worked as a dream before and all files where playable.
TV sends message, please wait... 2 minutes later, cannot read file..

Can any of you guys with a similar TV give me a howto or a file to replace?

Ah I see what i did there, but by removing the srt files for the movie it plays...

any workaround on howto get the subtitle working?

First ensure that the srt file is OK. Run it through srtWiz and see if that helps: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2971

Although a positive response doesn't mean much, does the file play with subs on your PC?

Depends on the TV. Many Panasonics only support embedded subs with MKV's. Try embedding the sub using MKVMerge or similar tool.

mp4 files working when removing srt files from video file folder.

The VT50 doesn't support subs natively on MP4 files - you need to enable "Enable burned-in sub-titles", "Only when required" in Serviio Console for these.
I'm pretty sure that subs for MKV's are only supported by the VT50 if embedded within the MKV container ie. separate srt files are not supported, use MKVMerge to embed the sub.
