This device may support :

- MPEGTS / H264 / AC3
- MPEGTS / MPEG2VIDEO / AC3
- MPEGPS / MPEG2VIDEO / AC3
- JPEG
- probably MP4 / H264 / AAC (mp4,mov)

nothing about audio ?? (MP3,etc)

Using the "Generic DLNA" profile, no videos play at all. (v 1.70 of the firmware)

Using the Panasonic Viera Profile some videos play, some do not, but not as well as on the TC-L32E3 I have connected to the same server.
Assuming the software is the same as the BDT310, there is information online about what formats are supported through DLNA, but I can pretty much confirm that the Panasonic Viera Profile will NOT work as is. If anyone has a specific question about what to test, I will try. The BDT210 is pretty much plug-and-play with WMP 12, but restricted to formats which are supported by Microsoft.

Not sure what to say about Audio, MP3s play, folders look about right, playlists work... artist and other info looks right. There is no support for album art. A lot of the features are not documented, the manual just tells you how to configure it to use with Microsoft WMP.

there not teh same sink report show that BDT has very limited support.

i didnt expect it to work right off the bat as BD and TVs alway seem to have different support.

if you can provide some information on what does and doesnt play with viera profile that would be helpful though.

AVI files (1024x768 orig. resolution) play, but distorted (stretched horizontally). WMV files (720x480, orig. from Windows Live, I think) play. MKV files do not play, not sure why, that is supposed to be one of the supported formats. WTV files recorded in WMC play after I added them to list to be transcoded to MPEG-TS for my Viera TV.

When using WMP 12, all video fie formats that Media player supports play, but I do not know what WMP does with them to get them to play. The functions for play, pause, stop, resume, fwd, rev, work in WMP 12. In Servio, play, pause, and stop work, resume works sometimes, fwd and rev stop play, but most of the time do not work after that. Pressing pause or stop sometimes leads to not being able to connect with Serviio.

That is all I remember, without running new tests.

One short 1024x768 video, original in AVI format, converted to MP4 and to MKV for testing.
First tested with Panasonic Viera profile, on Viera TV, TC-L32E3: all three files play
Then tested with same Panasonic Viera Profile, on BDT210: AVI file plays, but distorted (horiz stretch), MP4 and MKV do not, player says "Cannot play."

Loaded and running. No obvious change compared to the Panasonic Viera Profile, but I did not have a chance to do much with it.
Anything specific I should be looking for?

Done that, selected the new profile, its name shows up next to the player name, restarted W7, but AFAIK, there is no chg in what plays and what does not.

Only tested 2 AVIs, they play the same, distorted (yes, I know you can't do anything about that).
Tested all MKVs in my test directory (5 or 6), and none of them play.

No change from when I posted the text files generated by ffmpg.

I will try the fix later, IF I can figure it out.

I will work on the MKV next.

No. They do not all work.
All WMV work.
Most WTV work (I have not investigated what the ones work have in common).
No MP4 work.

So, I will have this profile now:
