just bought a tx-p42st31b panasonic tv, no media server in the input selection list , does this mean i cant stream in the same way as before? can i upgrade the tv software, or can i stream to tv by another means? thanks in advance.

It allows you to share photos and videos (including 3D images) stored in the DLNA Certified media
server (for example, PC with windows 7 installed, DIGA Recorder etc.) connected to your home network,

Photo : JPEG (Sub-sampling 4:4:4, 4:2:2 or 4:2:0)
Image resolution - 8 × 8 to 30,719 × 17,279 pixels
●Motion JPEG and Progressive JPEG are not supported.
Video : MPEG2 (PS format and TS format)
Image resolution - Up to 1,920 × 1,080 pixels
FPS (Frame Per Second) - 24 / 25 / 30 fps
●PS (Program Stream) format : used for DVD recording, etc.
●TS (Transport Stream) format : used for digital broadcasts, internet, etc.
●Depending on the network environment, including lack of transfer speed, contents may not be played
back properly.
●AVCHD and DivX files are not supported by DLNA, but can be played by Media Player (p. 76).
●Music files are not supported by DLNA functions of this TV, but MP3 and AAC files can be played back by
Media Player (p. 79)
