Serviio on VirtualBox...disk space running out

I have the following:

Dell Laptop running Win7 (host)
Serviio 0.6.2
VirtualBox (guest) running Ubuntu 11.04 (<----I run Serviio in here)
Panasonic ST30

Serviio runs and works fine except when playing large video files as what happens is after about 25min or so my disk runs out of space and the movie stops with a "Cannot read file".
I assume its due to ffmpeg and transcoding?
Are there any best practices to use when running serviio in the configuration I have? ie, minimum disk size etc??

Much appreciated

The file size of your largest file should give you a hint, but it depends on the target codec. Also times it by the number of devices. If you have space on the host's disk, just create an expanding 100GB disk. Realistically I've only had it go upto about 8/9GB for a 2.5hour 1080p film.

Thanks for the reply!
Increasing the disk space is definitely an option that I thought of but if I can, I'd like to avoid.....off hand would you know if there's a way to direct the output of ffmpeg (when it transcodes) to a tmp directory on the host OS via a samba share or mapped drive etc?

You can set the location using the transcoding tab of the console.
