kram wrote:Ok, Ill start again. My original enquiry was just this 'Does my TV TX-l37ET5B play MKV files with the Dolby TrueHD sound track? '
Thanks for Intel tools UPNP, I add the result on
Wiki :
http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=dev ... #panasonicCould you report from INTEL TOOLS, the following element for your model number:
<friendlyName>VIERA ???
</friendlyName><manufacturer>Panasonic
</manufacturer><modelName>Panasonic VIErA
</modelName>kram wrote:I have found a couple of profile errors for my TV so the topic is now a bit wider than originally. In Serviio the TV is set as Panasonic VIErA Panasonic Viera G/GT/DT/UT/VT (2011/2012)
OK, so with this profile
- when transcoding is ON:
MATROSKA/H264/TRUEHD should be transcoded to MPEGTS/H264/AC3
MATROSKA/H264/DTS should be delivered in native format (inherit of generic profile)
- when transcoding is OFF:
All MATROSKA should be delivered in native format
kram wrote:With Transcoding turned OFF my Blu ray rips with DTS HD format play audio fine, the rips with DOLBY True HD are unsupported audio format according to the TV.
So this means that MATROSKA/H264/DTS are supported, but MATROSKA/H264/TRUEHD are not supported by the TV.
Could you select "Generic Profile" on serviio console and check that you have the same previous result (DTS supported, TRUEHD not supported)
If you have MATROSKA/H264/AC3 on your database, could you check if your TV support it.
kram wrote:Now with Transcoding turned ON, both of these files DO NOT PLAY, its an unsupported video format according to the TV.
Humm...both not supported !! Don't really anderstand, MATROSKA/DTS should be delivered in native format.
Could you enable
detailed logging (see signature link) then check if this file is transcoded?
kram wrote:This MKV works fine with either Transcoding ON or OFF.
This means that MATROSKA/H264/MP3 are supported in native format.
Could you try with "Generic Profile" selected with the same file?
kram wrote:I have also found other files that are listed differenty on the TV depending if Transcoding is either on or off.
EG FLAC files show up as LPCM with Transcoding ON, the TV is capable of playing FLAC nativly.
Following protocol are supported with your model number
http-get:*:audio/flac:*,
http-get:*:audio/x-flac:*,Then you can comment <Matches container="flac" /> element on Audio Transcoding section.
Also I see :
http-get:*:audio/x-ms-wma:*,
http-get:*:audio/x-ms-asf:*,So you probably could comment <Matches container="asf" /> too
Idem with
http-get:*:audio/aac:*,
http-get:*:audio/x-aac:*,
http-get:*:audio/vnd.dlna.adts:*,comment <Matches container="adts" /> too

Provide information about that file.
