I tried to watch a 3d movie with seervio,it moves slowly. Made an internet upload speed test and I had 1mbps...I suppose thats too slow to stream such a movie. So I thought, is it possible to connect my pc with the tv via ethernet cable? The tv supports internet via cable, but such a connection wouldn't be through internet would it, it would be pc - tv ... Can somebody help me?
Thanks in advance:)
All you are referring to is a home network. It sounds like you already have the beginnings of one, but your description is lacking. Please excuse me if the following description already covers what you have.
A home network will entail the following equipment: network switch (at least 100BaseT, preferably 1000BaseT, usually referred to as gigabit Ethernet) and cat5/cat6 cabling from the switch to the device. All devices connected to such a network communicate completely within your network. The only reason to go to the Internet is if a device wants to connect to something that it can't find on the internal network.
For all devices to have access to the Internet, you plug your Internet connection into the switch. Most Internet connections are made through a router, which provides network addressing to each device on the network. These routers often provide a 4-5 port network switch built into them. Without such addressing each device needs to be configured manually. If you are unfamiliar with how networking works, make sure you have a router.

It also provides a basic firewall between you and the world. Very important.
Most routers now days have wireless built into them. This allows your devices to connect to the network without the cat5/6 cable, but using a cable ensures the fastest possible connection.
One last thing: you mentioned testing your Internet speed and the upload was rather slow. Be aware that almost all home Internet connections are a-synch, which means the download speed is not the same as your upload speed. I have a 20Mbit DSL connection, but my upload speed is only about 800kbps. For streaming from the Internet your upload speed is not important, only your download. Also, such a test in no way indicates what speed your home devices connect to a Serviio computer on your network.
