I've tried several times to get it connected and it just won't.
It works sometimes and other it doesn't.
I've restarted my PC and restarted serviio. I also tried restarting my router. Nothing helps.

What to do???

I find the only thing that 'might' bring it back is turning off the TV for a few minutes and then switching back on, and before going to the media servers do a connection test, and then go to Serviio.
I have had many problems with Serviio since i got my ST50 and unfortunately the Serviio people dont seem to take too much interest in our Panasonics.
I have replaced my router and the main circuit board in my TV and it made no difference. The new version of Serviio did nothing also.

Good luck.

Haven't got your TV, but this may help. Try it - if nothing else it will help show whether the issue is Serviio specific or is across other DLNA media servers.

I don't own one and the Panasonics don't seem to have a community on here willing to help it improve by getting their hands dirty. Also doesn't help that Panasonics's codec support seems totally confusing and to work out which model of which year supports certain codecs is almost impossible.

It might help if someone shares a google spreadsheet where people can confirm support for codecs/formats together with their model. If there is interest, I can create it and post link on this forum.

Thanks zip - also interested. If you set up the share I will spend some time populating based on what I have/know (which isnt much :D), and trolling the forum. This can then be amended by members real experience with their devices - as I am learning behavior varies even within the same model, depending on country of release and perhaps manufacture date. The pana's are great TV's/devices but their implementation of DLNA seems to leave a lot to be desired.

A sticky readme/FAQ for Panasonic Viera's (something like Illico has done for Sony Bravo's) would also be helpful. If needed, I don't mind helping out as a start, but I'm not a guru by any definition - I'm learning as I go.

one place to look might be the

Compatible devices list
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=63

you should be able to page through and see who has had a successful experience with a Panasonic product and note their model numbers

I've set the document up: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... sp=sharing

If someone wants to create a sticky, then great.

I've a ST50 too and I was wondering after several tries why I didn't see the Serviio's shared files on the TV's media server. Now I see I'm not the only one who have issues...
I wanted to pass through Serviio because I had several issues too between the DLNA server of my router and the TV. Sometimes the media server of my TV doesn't detect the router. I have to restart it in order to be detected by the TV. I now think that there are some issues with the media server of the ST50 series.

For what it's worth I have a Panasonic TX-P65ST50B purchased in December 2012. I had very intermittent success streaming using Windows Media Player but when I installed Serviio and then selected the Panasonic Viera E/S/ST/VT(2011) profile in the console found streaming now works very reliably. :D

My PC is W7(64) with the router connected by a powerline link (cable) to a second router in the living room which is then linked by cable to the TV.
