Hi, Patters! Do you plan to upgrade the ServiioServer for Synology NAS to the version 1.3?

Hi - I do plan to. However I have just moved house. In addition to sorting out all that entails, I am still without Internet (thanks for the no-show BT Openreach) and incredibly, despite being in London I seem to have only GPRS data coverage here which is so bad it's useless. I have a work trip away, then another trip for a wedding, so it may take a few weeks at the very least.

Why developers do not bother to support the Synology NAS and leave all the work to patters makes all this voluntarily? Thank you patters a chance that you're there for us!

All very selfish reasons, Patters - come on we're waiting!

Just kidding! Whenever you're ready mate - hope the move went well and enjoy your trips away.....and if i can take this opportunity to thank you for all the time you've put in so far. Looking forward to 1.3 whenever you're ready.

I'd be willing to donate a few quid if it would speed up the release of the Synology package :D

During this time, Serviio released version 1.3.1 ;)

And one more question.
Is it possible to alter the server version for NAS to use inotify kernel subsystem instead of the periodic scanning of files? Home server running 24/7 due to the periodic scanning.

Has anybody upgraded their Synology NAS to 4.3 yet? Any issues with Serviio?

P.s. still waiting for 1.3.1 :)

Serviio 1.2.1 works very well with version 4.3.It is unfortunate that the staff of servio show no interest in supporting the Synology NAS.
Patters does all the NAS adaptation work voluntarily. Thank you so much Patters
Plex them support multiple NAS model but transcoding is not as good.

Staff? Serviio is written by only one guy (Zip). Not surprising he can't target NAS platforms...
I have the ARMv5 version done but I still need to find time to compile FFmpeg for QorIQ, Intel and ARMv7 CPUs. Synology don't make this easy. Since I can see from my download stats that most users are ARMv5 I may just go ahead and release that build today.
