Can I update ffmepg in the serviio folder?

Good Day.

I use Serviio on a Synology NAS.

I am just wondering if I can manually update the version of ffmepg used by Serviio to the latest version available.
If I can, would it just be overwriting the files found in the folder '/var/packages/serviio/target/bin/'

Thanks in advance.

Re: Can I update ffmepg in the serviio folder?

I've done that in Windows many times, although since Serviio now ships with a 64 bit version I seldom update it now. Since your NAS is likely running some form of Linux, it's probably most important to get a compatible version of FFMPEG.
