Hi community!

Is there no Serviio version for the Synology DS920+ (Intel Celeron J4125 CPU) ?

Settings in Package Center are correct (https://packages.pcloadletter.co.uk, certificate is also installed correct) but only one Community package from https://packages.pcloadletter.co.uk is shown:

Open Remote.

What can I do to get the Serviio package ?

THANKS for any help.

Greetings
Heinsolo

The Serviio download page (https://www.serviio.org/download) has a package for Synology, although it's still version 2.0. The person responsible for creating the NAS packages hasn't updated it to 2.1 yet.

Hi Dan,
thanks for your help, that is exactly what i did. The site https://www.serviio.org/download links to a site where you can add the site https://packages.pcloadletter.co.uk to your package sources in the synology nas.
But it shows no Serviio package just one package named "Open remote" - nothing else.
Other sources (e.g. https://www.cphub.net/) works fine - i can see all packages.

Is there another source for the Serviio package ?
Thanks for any help!

Sorry about that. I've never had a NAS device, so have never tried the install. Perhaps Patters will join in here, as he's the most experienced with NAS installations. However, I see he hasn't been on the forum since May, so it might be a bit before we hear from him.

It works fine for me, but the one small thing I can see is you have used https:// and on Patters site and also on my NAS it's plain old http://
I don't know if that is the issue but worth checking, Also don't forget you need the Java SE Embedded package installed too.

Hi Acetone,
thanks for your post. I made some investigation on the NAS. Problem is a wrong certificate that could not be deleted - it is "stucked" on the nas. Im not able to post the complete decription of the problem in english - it is not good enough :-(

But the problem has nothing to do with Serviio it is a Synology problem. So this thread can be closed.

THANKS for your help !

Hi,

I have the same problem; Serviio is not in the package list even after adding PCLoadLetter as package source. Or maybe it is not yet available for DS220+? I tried to post a comment on the PCLoadLetter web page but no answer yet and it seems a bit abandoned in general. No posts from patters since February.

I also cannot delete the PCLoadLetter certificate, even after deleting PCLoadLetter as package source. @heinsolo: Any hints on how I can remove the certificate since you seems to have succeeded in doing that?

Patters' user account haven't shown any visits since May. I have no idea if he's still making Serviio updates. Hopefully he's simply unable due to workload or something.

@jne - sorry for the late answer.
My english is not good enough, I try it :-)

My problem was the "stuck" certificate.
Under source it was "http://packages.pcloadletter.co.uk" but under certificate it was "httpS://packages.pcloadletter.co.uk".
So when I removed the source with only "http" the certificate with "httpS" stays there.
It took a long time for me to notice the difference :-)
I add the source with "httpS" and was able to remove the certificate.
I add the source with "http" again and the correct "http" certificate without "S" was installed.

But: Still no Serviio package in my list :-(
