Java 7 or Java 6 on Synology DS411j

I'm running Serviio on my DS411j and it's working fine after some fiddling around.

Only "problem" is that the Java 6 I installed on the NAS takes up 55 MB out of the total 128 MB of RAM on the NAS.

Does anybody know if Java 7 is less memory hungry on the NAS?

Thanks

Martin

What do you mean java takes RAM? If you mean the Serviio process then it's about right.

I mean that I can see in the list of loaded processes that JAVA is taking up around 50 MB of memory. But maybe that isn't the java process itself, but rather Serviio in disguise?

Excuse me if I don't know what I'm talking about. This whole Unix/NAS world is new to me.

Yes, the Java process is Serviio. The 50MB is right.
