How to add folders?

Hey guys!

I'm new to all this! I installed serviio 0.6.1 on my dns-320.
I would like to stream videos to my Samsung TV but where do I put them on my NAS?

Is it possible to just creat folders on my NAS or do I need to put them in the Serviio_061 folder?
And how can I address them in the console? Add path? like so: http://IP.../Movies

thanks a lot!

Did the package you used come with a web ui built in? Is there a link on yours NAS's control center/website?

Otherwise install Serviio (just the console) on a pc and use http://www.serviio.org/component/conten ... e?id=21#q2 to point to your nas. However, 0.6.1 is pretty old, not sure if there are download links for it any more.

Hey thanks for your answer!
I do have a running web ui, but I'm not sure how to add the folders.

With add local i can't change the folder. I'm stuck in the pc5dczc_061 folder.
With add path, am I sopposed to write \\DLINK-....\Volume_1\Movies ?? but when I write the path like that and hit Save it always sets a /dev/ in front of the path! Is this wrong or ok?

Thank you!

You should be using add path and the format will be something /mnt/Volume_1/Movies (it may start in /media or /something depending on how it is setup). You want to enter the path so that if you were connected using ssh you could type cd /path/to/media

Aaaahhh I see!
there is a folder (HD_a2) with the folders from the Volume_1 in /mnt.
Ad path didn't work but ad local did!!

Thank you very much!
