I have to import in Serviio a m3u file full of a long list of lines. Too many.
in Serviio online resource, the import export work only with .sob format. unknown format for me.
"search " pushbutton is not helping a lot.
I found a old raw converter in another topic but don't work.
How can I do it ?
Any tool ? any trick ?
Suggestion ?

The SOB format was created by the Serviio developer for use with Serviio. It's not an available format for other devices. Depending on what's in your m3u playlist, they may not be compatible with Serviio online source requirements. Remember that playlists are typically used for local media, not online resources.
Basically the SOB format tells the Serviio console what type of online resource the entry is (Web Resource, RSS or Live Feed), the media type (video, audio or image), the source URL and the display name. Basically, it just auto-populates the same fields you would use in the console for entering a single resource.

You can do this using the playlist groovy plugin - see post at
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=6022&p=117132#p117132 There are a few issues as I point out but it works.

I don't understand how to do this. I've a project and need to perfom an m3u to sob converting for my custom essaydune assignments. Is this because of the specific m3u format?
Hi,
Any known m3u >> sob playlist converters online? All m3u files I have are exported from enigma2. Is there any python script that could help with conversion?
