Finally, using the URL http://www.hulu.com/feed/show/11241/episode 9
I was able to stream episode 9, plus other clips.

Using the SyFy plug-in, I could only get up to episode 8 as well, even though it is available on the web.

long time user of Serviio, but only played with the plugins a little bit. In the past I tried some of the plugins including Hulu and was able to get the feeds to work but have been trying for about two days now with no luck and hoping somebody can shed some light on the issue.

Details:
-Serviio (version 1.2.1) installed on linux (Gentoo) box
-Using tunlr to mask my Geocode as I am in Canada
-I can browse and play Hulu videos just fine from any other device in the house on my network
-Using latest Hulu (US only) plugin
-Plugin is recognized and loaded during Serviio Start up
-Add "http://www.hulu.com/feed/show/54/episodes" as an "Online RSS/Atom feed"
-I get this repeated for every episode it finds:

Have tried a handful of other shows as well and same story...any body that can help or shed some light on what to check would be appreciated.

Is anyone having issues with Hulu playing only the first 60-90 seconds of a show and then moving on to the next episode?

Hi!

I just started using serviio yesterday and I cannot believe I didn't do this sooner! though I didn't have a DLNA device until last week, so I guess it didn't matter. HaHa.

I setup my CBS shows ok. But I am having problems with HULU. I am specifically trying to setup the following shows for my wife Next Top Model, Daily Show, Cobert. When I tried to setup the Daily show as an RSS, Atom, which is the only way I could get it to pull up in the online folder, and clicked a show from the 19th all I got was a still frame and not the entire show.

Could someone let me know what I need to do to get this working?

Does anyone have hulu working on a QNAP ARM HDD? I can run serviio and hulu well using my windows machines.

It's properly loaded. Crackle and cbs.com stream well. Hulu and abc do not stream at all. A message about no playable content appears.

Cbs.com and crackle are web resources. Hulu and abc are rss feeds. Does this identify the problem?

Is it a flash problem since it appears impossible to load flash on a QNAP ARM box? If someone knows how, please pass it along.

I have tried !.3.1 and 1.1. JRE 7 for ARM is installed, otherwise I couldn't have loaded Serviio and cbs.com wouldn't work.

Open the page of the show, example http://www.hulu.com/family-guy
View source code, look in the metadata at the beginning of the page:

Hi,

I'm trying to use the Hulu US plugin (obviously) and can't see the media content in the file folder on my WD TV live. After putting in the RSS url in "online resources" the show directory shows up but the SMP says it can't find any media (even after waiting awhile). It looks like the feed (http://www.hulu.com/feed/show/2252/episodes) is expired from the log files? Any idea what's wrong?

I was trying to set this up for some friends who recently got an 80" Sharp Aquos TV.
After quite a bit a of work I got a Serviio signal to the TV on the WiFi. Serviio recognized the TV as a Sharp Aquos. The TV would list the shows I had entered into the Library, but could not play them. I got a message on the TV "Cannot play this file".

I found their internet speed was very slow, .95 bps or something like that. But even at that speed Netflix would show a picture and then buffer all the time.

What could the problem be here?

FFmpeg is old, and possibly also without librtmp support. Check the wiki on tips how to build it from source.

I am having the same problem with my 60" sharp tv. I was trying to watch this show:

There are videos there but I only saw episodes 5,8,9 on the feed- so there are some episodes missing in the feed but none of the videos play. I got the same error message on the TV "Cannot play this file".

It was my understanding that Serviio would transcode the video into something that the TV or media player could play. Am I wrong?

If the computer is too slow, or the internet connection is too slow, does it prevent playing?

Is it possible that the Sharp Aquos profile is not doing the right transcoding or something?

The proper url is http://www.hulu.com/feed/show/15419/episodes

You forgot the s in episodes. Leaving "episodes" off will show all videos related to the show.

Also, probably reiterating here, shows that require Hulu Plus will only play the first 60 seconds or so and then go on to the next video.

I've been having intermittent failures with the Daily Show ( http://www.hulu.com/feed/show/902/episodes ) for a couple of weeks now.
Hulu seems to be shifting back and forth between two different formats on the feed. Other shows work fine even when the Daily Show doesn't.
This is what the feed looks like when it works:

You forgot the s in episodes. Leaving "episodes" off will show all videos related to the show.

Also, probably reiterating here, shows that require Hulu Plus will only play the first 60 seconds or so and then go on to the next video.

This seems to be a transcoding issue. Probably the video type for transcoding in the sharp profile is wrong. Someone in the CBS plugin forum said there were some video profiles missing in the sharp profile, but I tried that and it didn't fix the issue. If someone figures it out let us know.

I am having the same issue as jk50. http://www.hulu.com/feed/show/81/episodes Psych will sometimes change its format in the rss. When viewed in firefox, you will will have the pictures associated with the video when it is working. When it is not working the pictures will not be there and it will be just links. Is there a way to ignore this error and still grab the video link?
