CBS.com plugin. Only available in the US.
Must be configure as a Web Resource.

60 Minutes plays ok here in USA on Sony SMP-N100 using the following Source URL:

CBS.com allows some shows to stream outside of the US. Examples include 60 minutes and (most) 48 Hours Mystery episodes. I review them regularly here in the Netherlands.

There is an issue with the plugin, however... I have noticed that CBS doesn't seem to be updating http://www.cbs.com/shows/48_hours/video/

For 48 Hours Mystery, CBS seems to be focusing their attention on http://www.cbsnews.com/video/48hours/ when posting new episodes.

I can't seem to get serviio to get the new shows from the updated URL

Any tips anyone?

Is there any way to make the plugin so that it plays the classic shows from the cbs website; they are under a subfolder named 'classics'. they fail with the naming convention for the plugin.

Unfortunately this plugin doesn't work on cbsnews.com. They use a different method of loading up videos on their site. Looks like someones else has requested cbsnews.com as well.

Nice catch. Looks like I need to add classics, originals, and specials to the plugin. I'll try to get it updated this week.

Sorry, these use a different method of loading up videos. This will be a much bigger fix. Not sure when I will be able to get to it.

I have been having issues with this plug-in lately: it displays NO content. It recently worked and the only thing I have done is upgrade to Serviio 1.0.1.

Anyone else seeing this?

Same problem here, I upgrade to 1.0.1 and now I don't see any content, only the folders I used to have in the previous version. In video as well as photo. Not a single content file.

I now have double choices in the security settings (so 4 in total), neither works.

I was about to go PRO when I discovered that the security works only on a device basis, not folder or file based. That is useless for me. I want to secure certain types of movies, on our main TV.

I have not upgraded.
CBS worked last time I checked, probably about 1 month back.
Format was WebResource=http://www.cbs.com/shows/how_i_met_your_mother/video/

But as of yesterday, with no change to software or config, I am not getting any shows to appear.

When I played with the groovy file a bit, it seems to be correctly fetching the "loadUpCarousel" part.

-becomes-
http://www.cbs.com/carousels/44/video/0 ... f9a/0/100/

But that's as far as I made it, after that I think we need a real groovy expert.
This is a WebResource, so maybe the groovy file is not compatible a (potentially new) CBS json format?

I have other Atom Feeds that work, no other Web Resources to try.
If I did have other WebResources, and they worked, I would suspect it was CBS has a new json format.

I have made the changes to the plugin.

Sorry I haven't implemented the classics yet, they use a totally different method.

Hi Mike,

Thanks very much for this plugin. I was using it on a daily basis to watch The CBS Evening News but, unfrotunately, CBS have recently started to upload this programme via their http://www.cbsnews.com/ website instead.

I saw earlier in this post that you've already mentioned how http://www.cbsnews.com/ use a different method for uploading their videos. I was just wondering if there might be any chance of creating a plugin to work for this too?

I'm currently able to get the programme via an RSS feed (http://feeds.cbsnews.com/podcast_eveningnews_video_1), but the quality is rather poor.

I've been using CBS plugin for some time without a problem. Now I'm not seeing any shows. Using Serviio Pro 1.0.1. I've updated to cbs.groovy version 2.0 (5,390 bytes) and rebooted.

URLs are: http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_good_wife/video/
and http://www.cbs.com/shows/60_minutes/video/

Source Type is set to 'Web Resource'

Neither show works. All other feeds seem fine. Any help is appreciated!
