Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

I am trying to watch a twitch stream on my TV but there is nothing showing up on the online folder. I have also tried to view the stream on my PS3 and also get the "No Titles" message in the online folder.

I've tried several streams but none of them work. This is the error message I get, every stream seems to be the same error.

Notice that it is recommended to add "-bsf:v h264_mp4toannexb" to the FFMPEG command line. Has anyone tested this? Maybe there is no need for custom-built FFMPEG at all.

Can we edit Serviio's FFMPEG options somewhere?
yeah, i added that and it doesn't help.

try this one: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bogen ... tch.groovy

replace the file, do right click -> force refresh on the stream you're trying to watch in serviio console, qualities should show up.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Hey,

tried several plugins and "ffmpeg.exe" files but I didn't get the twitch feed working on my TV (Panasonic Viera TX-42ASW604)
I see the qualitys on the TV with an older tumbnail. It happened also twice that the feed startet in the small preview window, but didn't work after I tried to start the normal view.
My local files work.

Hope I past the right log here:

that log would indicate that you're still using the wrong version of ffmpeg. please get the one from this post:

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Hey, thanks for the reply thought I used it allready. But I downloaded it again and replaced the old one with it. I got still the same issue. Attached the log, cause it was to long to paste (don't know which part ist the important one).

Edit: The error is "unsupportet file"...tested it with my Xbox a while ago and got an disconnection error (but did checked it again after changing things)

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

judging from the log, on the plugin's end of things, extraction runs just fine. so you should take a look at the profiles you've set in serviio console for the respective clients, and also try out whether it works using VLC (you'll likely need a 64bit build of that if it freezes initially), just to verify that it works at all.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

It is working in VLC. So should I try all profiles (not only those for Viera TVs)?

Oh btw: The error is not an unsupportet file, the TV is not able to read the file (still no problem with the local files, no mather which profile)

Edit: Seems to work with the profile "DirectTV HD-DVR". But not very fluently (which might be, because TV and Laptop are connected via WLan)

Hey

I got latest version of plugin and ffmpeg from your link. It works partially. It shows resource in TV, but only "mobile" quality of stream works, all other give error "video codec not supported". I wonder if it is a problem with TV, but it reads all mp4 files i tried. Do I have to configure transcoding somehow?

i've no idea, my samsung tv plays back every stream i throw at it fine if i use the samsung profile.

twitch hands out slightly broken h264 video, but my tv and VLC will handle it fine (confirm the latter). transcoding may fix the issues with your tv, but don't ask me how that works.

I used profile "DirectTV HD-DVR" instead of Samsung C/D and it works fine now. Video is smooth, even on source quality. But quailty itself isnt best, i think ill search for way to improve it since right now it consumes only ~10% of cpu

Now I'm not sure if this is because it's a VOD or what, but nothing is showing up in the online folder on my Samsun Smart TV. I have the changed ffmpeg.exe and have the newest version of twitch.groovy. Am I doing something wrong?

yeah, /v/ urls for vods are new and don't work yet. and i don't have time to implement that right now, sorry. maybe in a few days.
note to self on that:

note to self on that:
  Code:
qualities: http://usher.twitch.tv/vod/<v-id>?nauth=<token>&nauthsig=<sig>
thumbnail: http://api.twitch.tv/api/videos/<id with v in front>?on_site=1

No problem! Just making sure I wasn't doing something idiotic. I really appreciate you making this plugin. Regular streams work great!

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

I keep getting the file type not supported message when trying to watch VODs. I have a newer H series smart tv and I've been using a profile made by someone on the forums. Would using the generic profile or the E/F series profile make the TV able to play the VOD? I'm using the new version of the plugin.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Tried using the E/F profile. Didn't work. Tried turning on ans off transcoding, trying the newest version and your version of ffmpeg.exe, the new version of the plugin, the generic DLNA profile, and still get the unsupported file error message with VODs. Here's the log: [quote015-02-07 19:31:21,154 WARN [FeedUpdaterThread] An error occured while parsing the online resource http://www.twitch.tv/captainsparklez/v/3742224, waiting for expiry time to try again: Unexpected error while invoking plugin (twitch.tv): http://usher.twitch.tv/api/channel/hls/ ... 706&token={"user_id":null,"channel":"captainsparklez","expires":1423356683,"chansub":{"view_until":1924905600,"restricted_bitrates":[]},"private":{"allowed_to_view":true},"privileged":false,"source_restricted":false}&allow_source=true
