Any way to play channels like sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/111617 and be able to change channels from my LG Smart TV ?
These channels play ok with Sopcast player or WMP with sopcast filter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can play sop channels through serviio so there available to watch on your tv. This is something I regularly do. I will post the step by step guide I create for one of the lads in work in a couple of hours when home.

Thank you for taking the time to do this write-up. I've been using this workaround solution also but I was hoping to find a way to control channels thru DLNA like Wild Media Server does by calling Sopcast or WMP and catch the stream automatically without the need to start the stream on the server manually 1st.

First of all, I would like to thank you for the Wiki. I was able to get the Sopcast VIDEO stream to my Samsung TV within 2 minutes. The only thing which I did not get was AUDIO. It would be great if you could give me some hint where the problem could be since a stream without audio does not really make sense  Thank you!

Hi, I think I solved the issue. Once I disabled the transcoding it worked  :D

You shouldnt have to manually disable transcoding to make audio work, may be a bug or you need to edit your Samsung device profile
