[Closed-ffmpeg problem]mov file from plugin won't display

I have a .mov file passed back from a groovy that will not add to the menu. All the other files are .mp4 and display correctly. Running in test mode for that item the groovy returns:

  Code:
Result: ContentURLContainer [fileType=VIDEO, contentUrl=http://funkwarehouse.com
/jcpods/john_cleese_podcast_28.mov, live=false, expiresImmediately=false, ]

When adding the feed that uses the groovy the log shows the file is accepted, just like all the other items:

  Code:
2011-12-17 17:10:37,626 DEBUG [FeedItemUrlExtractor] Cleeseblog: Starting extraction of url for item: John Cleese Podcast #28: The Night Before Christmas
2011-12-17 17:10:38,518 DEBUG [FeedItemUrlExtractor] Cleeseblog: Finished extraction of url: ContentURLContainer [fileType=VIDEO, contentUrl=http://funkwarehouse.com/jcpods/john_cleese_podcast_28.mov, live=false, expiresImmediately=false, ]
2011-12-17 17:10:38,518 DEBUG [FeedParser] Added feed item 8: 'John Cleese Podcast #28: The Night Before Christmas' (http://funkwarehouse.com/jcpods/john_cleese_podcast_28.mov)

but it is then rejected as "unknown video file type" and is not added to the menu.

  Code:

ffmpeg -i shows as follows and the downloaded file plays correctly in serviio as a native video/mp4.

Re: mov file from plugin won't display

not sure, my local test works. You could enable TRACE logging (instead of DEBUG) and you should see what output FFmpeg actually produces.

Re: mov file from plugin won't display

Tried
  Code:
<category name="org.serviio.library.online">
      <priority value="TRACE"/>
</category>

but still only getting DEBUG output after restart.

Response on ffmpeg -i is immediate, but yes I also saw it took the log some time to report after starting ffmpeg-i (I use notepad ++ to access the log while serviio is buidling it)

Used the groovy to rename the .mov to .mp4 but still get the same problem, yet I can see nothing in the file that would prevent it from playing as it does when downloaded and played raw. Any ideas?

Re: mov file from plugin won't display

right, so I'm getting 404 error (doesn't exist). It looks like you're always replacing .mov to .mp4 which works for most of the videos but this one, it only exists there as .mov

this works:

  Code:
ffmpeg -i http://funkwarehouse.com/jcpods/john_cleese_podcast_28.mov

this does not (404)

  Code:
ffmpeg.exe -i http://funkwarehouse.com/jcpods/john_cleese_podcast_28.mp4

Re: mov file from plugin won't display

Yea, dumb of me but that was just an attempt at a workaround.
If you remove the replace line from the groovy, it will fail on the .mov file, which was my reported problem, and I know its not a 404 because i downloaded the .mov as previously posted...

How did you get the 404 output to show in the log or did you just run the ffmpeg -i on the mp4. How do we get the ffmpeg details to show in the log?

Is the episode 28 the only one failing?

Re: mov file from plugin won't display

Yes just the #28 which is the only .mov

OK.. found the problem..its with ffmpeg distributed with beta3 (31480)
It hangs on the .mov as follows.

I use 33591 for my ffmpeg command and it works fine as previously posted. I'll check with beta 4 just arrived, thank you!
