TV 55pfl5507k - Video-Selection-Dialog with "Unknown"

Just switched to serviio from tversity because of the much easier administration of content, how to sort it, add additional information with nfo-files etc.. Works like a charme.

There is one question though:

"Presentation" is selected like shown in the attached hardcopy.

Additional information is added with i.e. an "Avatar.nfo"-file like:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
<movie>
<genre>SciFi</genre>
</movie>

When selecting a video at the tv you switch down through the tree like:

- Video
- A
- Avatar

When looking at the display on the tv you have the tree on the left on the screen and on the right there is a movie-symbol above with the movie-name below and the word "unkown" just right under the name.

I did not have this "unkown" with tversity before. I do not have it with mp3s or photos. Just with videos. Since I did not have it with tversity it results from serviio, I guess. But I do not have a clue, what this "unkown" is trying to tell me, where it results from, whatever.

Does anybody here have an idea?

Sincerely

Karl

Hi! I've the same model of tv and same string under movie's name.
I think that there should be movie's duration.
What was there when you used another mediaserver?

With TVersity there was nothing.

After doing some research with wireshark on the transmitted data (Serviio to TV) I found that there is a xml-tag send as "<rating>Unkown</rating>" which for some reason is presented on the TV. There is lot of other data also transmitted as duration, genre, format etc.. I have no clue, why the TV only takes exactly this tag to show it on the screen. At time I am trying to get a clue on how to supress this tag being send from Serviio, but no success yet.

I see few variants of how to send correct string.
1) add "rating" property to NFO file
2) edit network packets on-the-fly and change uknown to some text
3) ask serviio's developers about this string

P.s. Id love to see thumbnails there, but philips"s support said that this is impossible.

Changing the network-traffic on the fly sounds like a little overkill to me.

I tried doing the .nfo-file-thing, but it did not help.

The .nfo-file looked like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
<movie>
<genre>Action</genre>
<rating>Brilliant</rating>
</movie>

Even tried changing rating to numbers like "5.0", but Serviio kept sending this "Unknown"-String. I did a Serviio-reinstallation to try with a new fresh database. Needless to say, it all did not work.

What kept me suprised all the time, is that the .nfo-genre-tag worked perfect.

rating is not sent to the client yet (anly the hardcoded Unknown value), should be fixed in 1.4

I am also looking forward to 1.4, also. But - to be honest - since this "optical" glitch is my only felt problem with Serviio, I feel quite happy.
