Philips TV doesn't see see files

Hi,

Problem: my Philips TV DOES see the Serviio server and the Music, photo and Video folders, but DOES NOT no content at all. However, the default "Diskstation" shows everything fine, I can also stream what I want (except the media formats that Serviio excel in!)

Setup:
- Synology 213 NAS, data is in /volume1/music,photo, video
- ownership of the directories and files serviio:users
- in the Serviio NAS package permissions set correctly for the user
- NAS has just one ip address, on the same subnet as the TV (I only have one router, Fritzbox 7340)
- Serviio Console recognizes the TV as Generic DLNA
- changing that to the default Philps profile does not help
- debug logging does not seem to show what I need

Question to you:
- is this a known issue (couldn't find it in the forum pages)?
- what would you need from me to assist any further?
- can

Some additional information:
- I disabled ipv6 in my router
- uPNP is enabled

Thanks in advance,
Reinier

What does the manual say as far as formats that are supported via DLNA? Sounds like you may need to do some profile tweaking for your model.

The manual states the following:

Windows Media Player 11 (for Microsoft Windows XP, Vista of Windows 7)
• TVersity 1.9.3 (pro) (for Windows XP)
• Twonky Media - PacketVideo 4.4.9 (for PC and Intel Mac OS X)
• Nero 9 - Nero MediaHome (for Microsoft Windows XP) • Sony Vaio-mediaserver (for Microsoft Windows XP of Vista)
• Sony PS3-mediaserver (for Windows XP)
• Google Media Server (Google Desktop) (for Windows XP) • DiXiM (for Windows XP)
• Macrovision Network-mediaserver (for Windows XP)
• Philips NAS SPD8020 (v. 1.2.9.47)
• Fuppes (voor Linux)
• uShare (voor Linux)

So, Twonky is there, but I prefer Serviio!

What changes in the Philips (or general) profile would recommend? And how can I make these changes?

have the files been added to the library? Can you see them in MediaBrowser or VLC?

I have the same problem.

When I add videos to my library from my computer my tv sees them and plays them no problem.
But when I add my LG NAS I can see the folders but not the videos themselfs.

I have a similar Problem, but in a different constellation.
I am using a Phillips BlueRay Player with latest firmware and I run Serviio on my Windows8-PC. The Player is using the "Philips 2010-" profile.
While most of the files are seen and played correctly, I can neither play nor see certain .mp4 files on the Phillips Player that are correctly displayed and played through the Mediabrowser.

Here is an ffmpeg -i output from one of the latest files I am unable to play and see:

Thanks for the hint, if I am using the "Philips 2009" Profile, i can see and view the files. Unfortunately I can't skip or fast-forward them.

Hi,
I use a Philips 49pus7909 and have no problems - after I did not find the Serviio Server for unknown reason I played around with my fritz!box and after that it foung both media servers - I switched off the fritz!box media server again - and it kept displaying serviio as the only remaining server. Maybe this helps.
or - try calling philips hotline ;)
