Visual interface to edit or create profiles

 It would really be of great help if there was an interface that could simplify the editing and tweaking of the TV profiles used by our devices.

I'm thinking 1 drop down list with just the names of all the profiles at the top.

When we choose one, the properties would show up below in 2 blocs, the top block is the active properties and the bottom block the unused ones.

Each property has a checkbox, and maybe a small helpful text explaining what it does.

Click some boxes, test it on a device or in real time on computer. Then save or save as new profile.

Think it's possible :?:

Re: Visual interface to edit or create profiles

That would be extremely complicated. Many profiles inherit settings from other profiles, and almost every profile differs in the number of entries each section has. And there's so many different options available for each field, it would be a programming nightmare to include them all and format the whole thing accurately. Another thing to remember is that the Profiles.xml file (which has all of the Serviio provided profiles) is replaced every time Serviio is updated, so any changes would need to be recreated. That's the main reason Serviio now supports a user created profiles file, so that user modifications are not deleted with an update.
