Specify refresh times? Reduce refresh bandwidth?

I use Serviio on my local LAN, but refresh, of course, goes 'off lan' to the internet for information during refresh.

Background:
I, and probably others, are on a limited bandwidth per month allocation (satellite connection). But my provider allows 'free use' in a small window each day.

Now to the question/request:

1. Is there a way to have Serviio refresh ONLY particular files metadata that I would select? (No is the current answer, but a possible enhancement).

2. Could I specify a short list of times (3 or 4) when a refresh could 'automatically' run? , or a time frame (range, say 1AM to 4AM) that automatic could run daily? (Outside that time frame, refresh 'costs me bandwidth' against my monthly allotment.)

3. If not, (or as an interim measure) could you help by letting me know how to REDUCE the bandwidth needs for refresh overall? There seems to be a lot of 'chit chat' that is done during a refresh, and possibly just not re-checking if files have not changed (in size, name, place, etc) from the last refresh might help, at least for local files.

(Obviously I don't use streaming of offsite like Hulu, etc with my bandwidth limitations. - sure wish I could have cable, DSL, or something else, but it is still better than dialup.)

Thank you for your time and consideration. ...

Check for online metadata is only performed when the video file is added, not during update. So there is not much traffic at all, typically.

You can select if metadata should be retrieved for each shared folder (the 'M' icon)
