Group music per ALBUM and ARTIST-ALBUM
Posted: Sun Jan 09, 2011 5:59 amBoth of the other two DLNA-servers I tried -- minidlna (on Unix) and Microsoft's media player (on Windows) -- offer an "Albums" entry for the audio collections. Microsoft also offers grouping for ARTIST-ALBUM (so albums named "The Best" can be distinguished from each other, for example). I was surprised, that Serviio does not have this grouping -- there is only per artist and per folder grouping...
For one example, I have a set of 4 CDs of children songs, that all comprise the same album, but are ripped into 4 separate folders (one per CD). When using minidlna I was able to find all the songs instantly inside the album. Now I have to look into 4 separate "folders"...
Seems like a rather low-hanging fruit to add...
