Support XBMC .xml XML Files for Metadata Extraction

The current version of Serviio supports XBMC metadata extraction as per: http://www.serviio.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=12

However, according to the above link, "Serviio (only) supports importing .nfo XML files generated by XBMC." It apparently does not support XBMC .xml XML files.

The reason I request this is because WDTV Live reads XBMC .xml files, but not .nfo files (in fact, it ONLY supports .xml files for local metadata extraction at this point).

Unless there is some other option for Serviio to read .xml extension XBMC files for metadata extraction, could this feature be added?

Thanks!

Also, the problem to me with this is it requires you to generate an xml for every file. I would love to see a feature where it looks for the xml (or nfo) and if there is none, it goes to online sources for the metadata.

I have only a couple of movies or TV shows that do not generate the metadata correctly. An example is By Any Means (thetvdb.org Show ID 272814), which Serviio reads it as "Charley Boorman: By Any Means". I don't want to have to generate xml/nfo files for thousands of file just to get those few correct.
