Idea of a proxy (passthrough) feature

I was wondering if there was any way to create a "proxy mode" for Serviio.
Let me explain.
I have a server on which I have my main videos (TV shows mostly). This server is offsite and accessible only using a public IP address (so no DLNA and local subnet stuffs).
This server have Serviio installed. I'm viewing my video using the Mediabrowser interface (and ServiiGo on my Android smartphone).
I also have a Serviio server on my local computer to serve Video from my home server (films mosty) to my télévision.
I thought it could be cool to have the content of the remote server and the content of the local server displayed on my television.
I thought it could be pretty straightforward if using the mediabrowser API.
Let me know if it's a total crazy idea which have 0 use case scenario (despite mine)
Regards,
François
