I Need a profile for Dish Hopper. The Generic DLNA profile works a little for the Hopper but has issues. The DirecTV-HD-DVR fixes some of the issue but then has Size formatting issues.

Try the Roku 1080 Player profile. Also try the Roku TV profile. The difference is the TV profile will send MPEG2 video without transcoding, and the Hopper might support MPEG2.

??? Your advice to try the Roku profiles might make sense if I had not posted a link to an actual Hopper profile I made.

I bumped this 2½-year-old thread to post the profile link, so that the OP (if still around) and anyone else doing a search (more likely) can find it.

I responded because not all users are comfortable editing XML files, and using an existing profile might meet his needs.

Thank you for the profile link. That helped me immensely, not only with Serviio, but it helped pinpoint issues I have been having with other media servers I use with my Hopper.

I do have one minor tweak to suggest for users who may still have issues with audio files.

The Hopper seems to be very sensitive to bitrates, and many of the mp3 podcasts I was streaming weren't playing properly.

In order to resolve that, I added the line below to the Audio section to force transcoding of MP3 files:

Now all audio files are playing as expected. Thanks again!

There's also a Roku 4K with MPEG2 support profile. It was designed to support all 4K Roku players with the exception of the Roku 4. Of course, if the Hopper doesn't support H.265, then such 4K material won't be transcoded as needed.
