Client for Apple TV

Hi,

What I'd really like is a client for Apple TV that I could use to cast music to my receiver using DLNA. That way I wouldn't have to use the (crappy) built-in player on my receiver.

Re: Client for Apple TV

Serviio themselves does not offer any player clients for any devices. Some people have created apps based on the available API, with ServiiGo for Android most notable. I tried creating a Roku app and found it well beyond my skill set. Since developing for Apple is far more daunting, it might be beyond the abilities of a single person without having some sort of commercial backing behind them.

Re: Client for Apple TV

There's many DLNA clients for Apple TV, VLC being just one example which works with Serviio.

I don't think there's an advantage to Serviio creating an Apple TV app unless it's intended to be accessed outside of the subnet through their API tools.
