Is it possible to add film boxsets to the categories

Films like the fast and furious box sets or the Matrix box sets could be grouped together under an additional category so you can find all the films in the boxes easy and watch them in order. The information is held in theMovieDB.org for Box sets and the year is the order.

You can do that now with Playlists. These are files that list the titles you wish, in the order you wish (although not all players will honor the sort). I have a number of playlists that do exactly what you describe, including all the Star Trek and Star Wars movies. Playlists is a separate category under the Presentation settings, so they are all contained in a single location.

If you are using Windows, there's a very easy to use piece of freeware called Playlist Creator 3. It doesn't appear to be supported any longer, but can still be downloaded from many freeware sites. Here's one place: https://playlist-creator.en.uptodown.com/windows

Thank you for the update. I will take a look at that software, though it would be nice if Serviio created the box sets automatically using themovieDB.org data

Many thanks

Mike

I put the movies into a parent folder with this naming convention, but I only do it for series with 3 or more movies. If there's only two, I'll put them as individual entries instead of a series:

X:\ Movies \ Matrix [series] \ 1 - The Matrix (1999).mp4
X:\ Movies \ Matrix [series] \ 2 - The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
X:\ Movies \ Matrix [series] \ 3 - The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
X:\ Movies \ Matrix [series] \ 4 - The Animatrix (2003)

Yeah, I've done that for my Star Wars and Star Trek movies. But even with those I keep the 4K versions in a folder dedicated just to 4K. I believe it's much more convenient when browsing from a player to use a playlist. Some players don't do as well browsing through folders. It's just a performance issue for the player device.
