is it possible for a category based on content resolution type . i.e. 720p, 1080p, 2160p. I would like to select the resolution type so that I can play 4k on the device that supports it based on TV vs 1080p on device that only supports 1080p or lower. At the moment I have a main movie library for any 1080p and lower and a 4K folder for higher resolutions but looking for a movie is cumbersome.

Thanks

Interesting idea. I don't know if it's practical from a programming standpoint. I have 4K and 1080 copies of some movies, and I too keep the 4K in a separate folder. Since I only have a couple dozen titles, it's not difficult to pick one.

My thought is based on device profiles. If i have a tv that is 1080p only, but the folders contain both types of media 1080 & 4K choosing the 4k will not work. Currently I get around this by user accounts. I use one user account for specific folder types. the 4K folders can only be seen by the user of device supporting 4k while the other user only has access to 1080p folders. It's a pain to manage separate folder types for similar content. It would be nice if content can be viewed only for the device profile capabilities. Then i can put all on star trek content in one folder and the devices can have available only the content they can play.
