3d Notification

Before I say anything, I want to say right off the back that I understand that this may not be something that has to do with serviio and may just be a tv/blu ray issue.
Now, what I think would be nice...

On my TV, I have the option to choose the type of 3d that I am using (side by side, checkerboard, ect) or I have the option to choose automatic which will make the tv automatically detect if its viewing a 3d image. It works except for when serviio is playing a 3d video. It would be nice if Serviio was able to tell the TV that a 3d video is being played.

Once again, I dont know if this is something that is serviio's responsibility, or the tv/bluray player. If it is serviios job to do this though, then it would be a nice feature.

i would have thought it would be the renderers job as serviio just offers up the file. BUT i dont know of any renderers that support 3D over DLNA but someone may know a work around.

note: when you try to play a 3D movies via serviio can you check with Intel Tools (device spy ) and see if there is a resource for the 3D part of the movie ?

DLNA spec doesn't say anything about 3d - unless it does this cant be done.

The auto capability is on the BR player and only refers to playing 3D BR disks.
For any other sources the TV must be manually set to the 3D format.
