Is there any chance to support E-AC-3 (eac3) audio within Serviio?

Some streaming platforms (e.g. Amazon) are now using Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3) exclusively, so this is going to be a growing problem for those of us with older audio hardware. My players do HDMI pass through, but my receiver can't decode DD+.
