metadata extraction [solve]

hi

i have a problem extracting metadata information for some movies archives.

serviio uses this page http://www.themoviedb.org for movies.

The problem is that there are several movies with similar names. I have tried to further refine the search by adding in the file name of the movie year but still no go.

I noticed that this page uses a code to uniquely identify a particular movie. Could we use that code in serviio to adjust the search?

Another solution that I never thought of myself would be to create a database for metadata. but I have no idea how.

Could you guide me how?

thank you very much

filename must be exact any slight error can cause a mismatch try using something like this to get your filenames correct:

if I have made sure that the file is correctly named but it is still wrong. even choosing not to get metadata

After doing numerous tests I have reached the following conclusion.

if the title is of the form "A por todas" or "A todo gas" rather than arranged in folder A are sorted in different folders according to the second word. being "A por todas" in the folder P and "A todo gas" folder in T.

Do not know if it will be a failure or had not considered the possibility of such titles but would appreciate a possible solution to this problem

That's there to support the English A or The articles. Unfortunately it doesn't work that well with other languages ;-/

ok but I think that little problem can be solved efficiently.

When you select the language of the title or the language of the console may include a tag that tells the library to enable or not enable the A (for Spanish)

and another question is this posted in this forum but still I have doubts.

is on the priority of the metadata

I suppose I have included in the video file the title "matrix reloaded -2"
and in the .nfo file title is "matix - 2 reloaded"

which takes precedence video file or the other?
the files. nfo and images for the covers should be in the same folder as the video file or may be in another separate folder?

thank you very much for your time

.nfo takes precedence, has to be in the same folder
