for the management of the library i use nfo files created by me.
these files contain the following in the case of films

<movie>
<title> the movie title </title>
<year> year of the movie </year>
<plot> a brief summary </plot>
<runtime> duration of the movie </runtime>
<genre> film genre </genre>
</movie>

My question is can you add a line within that file to point to the cover art? something like

<cover> c:/media/movies/cover/pelicula.jpg </cover>
NOTE: my movies are in other folder

just store a folder.jpg or similar to the folder where the movie is and it'll be used

that is exactly what I do now. in the same directory I have the following files to the movie "batman"
batman.avi
batman.jpg
batman.nfo
but what I mean is that in the nfo file I have to write or how I have to write so that it takes an image stored in another directory.

is more than nothing for the series because I want stored in the library as if it were a single season and all the episodes I want to use the same image.

and certainly could be interesting to choose the location of the traditionally files nfo. I mean

I have in my pc multimedia files organized as follows:

c: / multimedia / photos to save the photos in albums

for example the path for a wedding photo is this
c: / multimedia/fotos/boda/pic0001.jpg (pictured above and to indicate the metadata for it)

c: / media / music to save the songs according to artist and album for example the song fiesta pagana of disk finisterra of el mago de oz
c: / media / music / mago de oz / finisterra / fiesta pagana.mp3

c: / media / video / films for films such as Batman
c: / media / video / movies / batman.avi
and finally

c: / media / video / series to series but as if they were a single season

for example if the last episode of the first season of House was the 12
this episode and the first of the second season would be stored as follows
c/multimedia/video/series/House/house012.avi
house013.avi
