Great product, but sometimes it gets stuck and need resterting, before it updates or catches up, with the online content.

It would be great if the there was a "Restart" Button on the TV device, for Serviio Server / Service, and not have to use WEb UI or Remote access the the Computer which Serviio SErver is running.
Thanks

Online sources can be refreshed manaually via the console and are done automaitcally after the exiry interval, you shouldn't have to restart Serviio. If the only way you can refresh online sources is by restarting serviio then something isn't working.

You could lower your expiry interval for online sources. Or if you have an android phone, use the app I wrote to refresh sources.

As for your actual question, I guess it is technically possiable to have a Tools browsing category with refresh library, refresh online sources, restart DLNA service, but no idea if it would be implemented.

As I said before, I don't like this approach and will not include that in Serviio

Didn't realise it had been asked before, but I agree that it shouldn't be included, I was trying to think of a better way of saying messy/hacky, so left it as no idea.

Thanks for input.
Yes i have tweaked update interval and worked with manuel refresh through console. Works great.
But the issue is, than every now and then, I add a new plug in, add a new RSS, add a new Live stream, and they contain erronous parameters, causing Serviio to freeze up. the log of course shows the problem.

The request is in regards to usablility.
i dont think all plugins, vidoes and stream will in any near future, become perfect, and never freeze the server Online updating mchanism. SO when i amfar from the COmputer, and sitting on fron the TV, and i can tell that the Online content is frozen, way beyond my Refresh rate, on ALL my listing sources, it would be greta to have a RESTART SEriio Server, on the TV device.

I am forced to RESTART it on the computer anyway, so it is not an uncessary action, it just makes it much more convienient doing it from the TV interface.

Can you post some logs with detailed logging turned on. One pluging/online source should not be able to do this (it may at the moment, but it shouldn't)

Will start a thread in support for that, and upload the log I have and any future detailed logs, when it happens again.

yep, Serviio should not freeze and this case should be dealt with
