Live online media streaming

I have a suggestion that could have a great benefit for using bandwidth when accessing live online resources:
When using a live online stream on a single device, Serviio initiates the online (internet) connection to the resource and streams to the respective LAN device. When a second LAN device starts streaming the same live online resource, Serviio initiates an additional online connection to this resource, thus doubling used internet bandwidth. I consider this to be an unnecessary extra load on the internet connection. As a live stream, it is only necessary to receive the data once and then offer/stream them to any number of devices from this single data thread, without creating additional online connections, thus saving bandwidth.

PS: I am currently using Serviio v0.6.2. In case this was implemented in v1.0, I apologize for an obsolete request, but I did not find this change in the new version's feature list.
